Job Description
The Managing Producer, Gameplan will function as a creative lead to ensure producers are well-positioned to rally around new ideas while aiding them in developing strategies and producing content that powers the Gameplan program. They will share their expertise in content production, distribution and publication, integration of content with internal teams and platforms, and content innovation to elevate and expand the Gameplan program. This position will foster a strong working relationship with Community Development, Production, and Publishing teams to ensure the Gameplan team produces comprehensive strategies that deliver on our objectives while balancing our production capabilities. Our team’s key to success requires the Managing Producer and Content Producers to work collaboratively to help manage the overall team workload, as well as assist on other content production projects when necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee the day-to-day management and operations of a team of producers within the Gameplan organization, delegating project work, growing, and developing practical expertise, and providing strategic input on asset briefs to ensure they meet the team’s objectives
- Work closely with Community Development, Production, and Publishing stakeholders to develop and execute multi-channel content strategies aimed at onboarding and improving the game skill of our players throughout multiple phases and points in our games’ lifecycles.
- Integrate Gameplan content strategies with our Community Development, Production, and Publishing teams to ensure global objectives are met throughout the full lifecycle of our games including game testing, announcements, launch, and live service phases
- Improve distribution of Gameplan content by collaborating on content strategies that help promote Gameplan across Ubisoft’s digital ecosystem
- Develop and maintain content production processes that allow the Gameplan team to produce content at scale, and document and maintain video production standards that promote best practices.
- Maintain multiple content production pipelines capable of producing all Gameplan content required to support each title.
- Guide a team of video editors and capture artists through production pipelines, ensure the quality of our content, establish best practices for capture and editing, and consistently check work against the expectations of Community Developers, Production and Publishing teams.
- Assist Community Development and Publishing team partners with content production pipelines by collaborating on content briefs, scripts, shot lists, and identifying additional content elements.
- Ensure best practices are used and continue to improve our content distribution across our communications ecosystem including in-game, social channels, and external partner channels.
- Support the Gameplan brand awareness throughout Ubisoft player communities by leaning into the Gameplan brand guidelines across all content produced.
- Assist in optimizing content publication best practices including content positioning, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, meta tags, and more to promote the discoverability of Gameplan content.
- Expand the Gameplan content offering by identifying and developing content innovations that address player needs and game insights through educational and entertaining formats and messaging.
- Identify areas of opportunity across our distribution ecosystem to further expand the visibility, discoverability and performance of Gameplan content.
- Work with our Community Developers and social listening teams to set realistic success metrics and analyze the performance of our content using community data to improve the production, types of content, communications and messaging, and publication of Gameplan content.

Job Experience:
- Proficiency in people management and modern video game asset production.
- Experience working with various stakeholders to filter and implement feedback where necessary.
- Strong knowledge and experience in gameplay capture, video editing, content publishing, asset production timelines, and management.
- A strong understanding of industry best practices for digital video content.
- Experience with editing short-form videos for social media and YouTube; Adobe Creative Suite: After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and plug-ins.
- Understanding how game capture works and creating SRT or other captioning files.
- Extreme attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize projects.
- Highly organized and experienced with project management tools and software such as JIRA, Trello, Asana, etc.
- A passion for games and helping players improve their gaming experience.
Preferred But Not Required:
- A willingness to learn about Ubisoft titles.
