Job Description:
The Product Marketing Manager will be joining a close-knit team of experienced professionals to bring multi-platform free-to-play titles to gamers globally. Based in our Calabasas office, you’ll be closely interfacing with local marketing teams and creative agencies as well as our overseas partners and development Studios. You’ll be at the heart of game development and tasked with translating your marketing knowledge of videogames into brand and marketing plans that connect players with our games throughout the entire product life cycle.
The ideal candidate has experience and fundamental knowledge for developing Marketing Plans and executing on strategy to meet business objectives. This is a highly strategic and creative role that is uniquely positioned to work directly with the product teams. The candidate will collaborate with several internal teams including Product Management, Production, Business Intelligence, Creative Services, Community, and PR, as well as external partners. They will drive product positioning and serve as the brand champion across the organization, while identifying best-in-class marketing strategies to scale our free-to-play games across mobile, console and PC.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the brand & marketing lead on assigned titles. Drive brand kickoffs, marketing plan development and manage full campaign execution for product launches, content updates and in-game events/promotions
- Collaborate with our Product teams to understand the development roadmap and provide recommendations for marketing support that align with our objectives
- Responsible for brand asset development. Lead the creation of create assets and copy for store pages, 1 st party promotions, or PR
- Oversee live campaigns, content, copy and creative performance and continually improve click through performance to meet install objectives and achieve ROI
- Manage the product marketing roadmap across assigned titles and help identify additional promotional opportunities on an ongoing basis
- Contribute to post-mortems following the completion of campaigns and provide analytical insight to help guide future direction of growth strategy
- Conduct ongoing competitive analyses and industry research to provide sound recommendations and long-term strategic planning
- Work closely with Senior Product Marketing Manager/Director and independently manage projects, lead cross functional teams and meet deadlines
Requirements:
- General knowledge of free-to-play games, live service models, gaming industry a plus
- Bachelor’s degree with business, advertising, communications or marketing focus preferred
- 3-5 years of professional experience in marketing, business or communications field
- Experience at a major video game publisher or entertainment company a plus
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to meet deadlines, identify priorities, map out schedules and maximize efficiency across all projects
- Strong analytical approach with ability to manipulate data and analyze results
- Knowledge of brand marketing or brand plan development is ideal
- Demonstrated ability to independently multi-task, work cross-functionally with internal and external partners and build positive relationships
- Adaptable team player a must
- Effective communicator, enthusiastic and capable of leading projects
This position includes a base salary range of $60k- $110k annually. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. Employees in this role may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
