Manager of Physical Production, Film and Television

Job Description

Ubisoft Film & Television is seeking to fill its Manager of Physical Production position. The Manager of Physical Production for UFT will be a key strategic partner with the head of Physical Production for Film & TV in the creation and execution of production plans and independent film budgets. This person will be instrumental in maintaining UFT’s film and television slate of projects, both in development and in production. A successful candidate will have knowledge and experience with current production practices, have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and be able to distill complex budgets and production schedules into easily digestible overviews. This person will also demonstrate a proactive, self-motivated, and trustworthy style, spearheading projects to help strengthen and grow the physical production department’s abilities to service projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Working closely with the head of Physical Production for Film & TV to keep up to date projected budgets, sandboxes, and cost estimates for development projects, as well as running financial scenarios and updating budgets to reflect current rates
• Budget tagging for tax incentives
• Creating summaries that distill high level budget information to be shared broadly and ensure cross functional alignment and well-informed decision making
• Maintain schedule of estimated future contractual commitments for development Payments
• Maintain and Update Production Manuel, including working with the accounting department to update their procedures as needed
• Work with UFT Physical Production to translate strategic initiatives into multi-year roadmaps with complete cost and capital requirements
• Ad hoc production projects as needed for each property. An example of this could be managing the budget and production of original game assets produced for a film or TV property

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• 1 – 2 years of Production office or onset experience
• Knowledge of basic filmmaking processes
• Advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Excel and Movie Magic Budgeting Software
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects and competing priorities in a demanding fast-paced environment
• Ability to translate complicated budgets and schedules into digestible overviews
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present to all levels of the company
• Awareness to the value of multi-cultural representation in the entertainment industry is required
