Manager, Strategic SourcingSummary
As a member of Aristocrat’s Direct Sourcing team, the incumbent will be responsible for managing suppliers of key commodities by setting strategies, driving, measuring and reporting on supplier performance requirements and timelines to meet sourcing deliverables. The role’s core focuses include identifying risks, developing and implementing sourcing initiatives to develop suppliers and improve performance by influencing suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive change, communicating effectively to the global internal teams and the suppliers, sub-tier suppliers in a multi-level global supply chain.
The position will interact frequently with the broader Global Supply Chain (GSC), Regional Integration Centres, Design and Development (D&D), Quality and various business units and affiliates across the global organisation and will have the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels of the organisation. Further engaging various suppliers including their leadership teams and managing oversight of supplier deliverables pertaining to the supplier management.
The successful candidate will manage and govern the scope of the strategic sourcing efforts and be responsible for supplier performance, due diligence of existing and new suppliers.What You'll Do
Key deliverables and tasks include:
- Manage review and analyse highly complex Bills of Materials for electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Cost control and analytics
- Build strong relationships to effectively manage large matrix suppliers and sub-tier integrators
- Develop effective solutions and methodologies to resolve complex sourcing problems.
- Key Sourcing contact and point of escalation for suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Provides category and process expertise to create and execute sourcing strategies and lead supplier management for defined categories.
- Manages key sourcing process steps including opportunity assessment, business case cost analysis, supplier due diligence, supplier strategy development, data analysis, supplier Requests for Quotation (RFQ), negotiation, award recommendations, supplier award, and supplier contract execution. Handles full scope of category responsibilities.
- Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technology.
- Participate in new product sourcing strategies for managed commodities utilising knowledge of market conditions, product roadmaps, supplier capabilities and annual / quarterly strategic business objectives
- Drive regular Supplier Business Reviews (SBRs) in parallel
- Product risk management including cost, change management, and deliverable schedule .
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Team Strategy Definition and Execution - Contributing to and implementing the organisation’s global strategic sourcing (GSS) compliance plan in line with overall business performance goals. Conduct technical, business and process analysis identifying areas for process improvement and providing advice to leadership.
Supplier Reporting and communications – Tools in place and auditable for selecting reliable sources of supply, driving key measurables, engaging complimentary suppliers and working with key suppliers to improve value delivered to the organisation. Create key compliance program with cadence from supply base.
Risk Management - Assessment of key supply chain risks, specifically related to suppliers, with active strategies to manage the risks, thereby improving the likelihood of successful outcome on risks.
Reporting and program results – Annual year on year program improvement, including key cadenced deliverables, presentations, data on file, policies documented and published and measurable to share with key suppliers in the Supplier Business Review (SBR) process.
What We're Looking For
- Tertiary education in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience managing cross-functional projects and programs with tight deadlines.
- Ideally experience a regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience with supply contract, supplier performance and due diligence programs
- Experience in manufacturing operations preferred
