Role Overview
Linden Lab is looking for a hands-on, resourceful, self-motivated People Operations professional to join our People Team!

This role reports to the Director, People & Culture as a hands-on individual contributor.

In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the team strategy and have a direct impact on the next phase of our growth as we work to operationalize globally. This position requires an extremely well organized and documented work style, and proactive utilization of system tools to keep deliverables and projects on task and on time for completion.
What You’ll Own
- Own the day-to-day, backend people operations functions, ensuring data integrity through timely, meticulous HRIS administration in Paylocity, maintaining accurate records and retention, conducting data audits, and troubleshooting issues, and compiling custom reports on employee data.
- Liaise with our global teams and external partners, providing POps support across payroll, pension, PTO, and other programs.
- Ensure legal compliance of HR local, state, and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, updating policies and/or procedures as required.
- Manage and optimize the operational and experience-focused employee lifecycle processes.
- Employ your design skills to build creative Powerpoint decks that support team trainings around People team initiatives.
- Provide support to employees regarding our People programs, policies and procedures, update employee handbooks, and create and post content for self-service learning in Confluence.
- Own assigned monthly compliance reporting.
- Prepare and lead topics in monthly POps Chats (the People team’s “AMA”).
- Manage immigration cases and maintain public access files.
- Administer company life event and gifting programs (ex: anniversaries, new hire swag, etc.).
- Liaise with auditors and manage various audits.
- Document SOPs to ensure consistency, repeatability, and scalability of internal People processes.
- Function as backup for other People team colleagues, including support for U.S. benefits and payroll.
What You’ll Bring to the Team

- 8+ years of proven experience and in-depth, practical knowledge in People Operations in a start-up or growth-stage company.
- Demonstrated ability to research complex problems, apply inclusive practices, and develop equitable solutions that center the needs of both employees and the organization
- Self-motivation with the ability to demonstrate initiative and a sense of urgency while quickly learning new procedures and processes.
- Strong business communication skills, including professional, service-focused writing and visual presentation skills - creative Powerpoint decks and Canva infographics that tell a story, and organizing information in spreadsheets to create compelling business cases.
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) implementation, management, and migration (preferably Paylocity).
- Exemplary tactical execution, strong organizational skills, and the high attention to detail that will earn increased levels of autonomy quickly.
- Innate sense of responsibility and accountability that ensures the job gets done despite challenges that come your way.
- Commitment to operating with transparency and proactively managing up to keep all stakeholders in the loop.
- Demonstrated compliance and risk management background with a finger on the pulse of what’s happening now and preparing for what’s next in People Operations
- Experience working with sensitive documents and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

The Fine Print
Pay Transparency Notice
The Company’s Total Rewards philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased compensation and equitable pay along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate. Depending on your U.S. work location, the starting annual salary for this position can range from $97,750 - $155,500 at a Manager level or $119,850 - $191,000 at a Senior Manager level. Both levels include base comp + RSU equity incentive plan + generous benefits program, including comprehensive medical, dental, vision and 401(k). Actual base pay within this range is dependent on many factors, including experience, competencies, skills, internal equity and calibration to market data. Our compensation philosophy includes a location-based strategy, which means that the starting salary within this range will be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position is filled. Your talent partner will share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
