Manager, Product Management - LoL Esports Manager

As a Production Manager at Riot, we lead passionate teams to create new products and experiences that provide maximum player value. We guide development, smash through obstacles, and push projects across the finish-line. We help concept, build, and influence projects at every stage of production.

As a Manager, Production on the League of Legends Esports Manager team, you will guide the strategy and delivery of the most exciting new experience within League of Legends Esports Manager. You will guide product strategy for core gameplay features, progressions and the live game operations. You will engage with the community and player data to ensure that the team is delivering maximum value, maintaining a singular focus on providing the best possible player experience. You will also establish what success looks like and work closely with our partners of development and publishing for building a clear plan for the development team to achieve it. You will report into League of Legends Esports Manager 's lead producer.

Responsibilities:

• Build a comprehensive strategy for League of Legends Esports Manager game features, regular in-game events, release and daily operations that will maximize long term engagement and player perception.
• Determine product success metrics for League of Legends Esports Manager gameplay changes, including measurements, business health goals and player sentiment targets for game strategy, game modes and events.
• Drive monetization strategy and content development to delight Chinese players and reach measurement targets.
• Design and drive the live game interactive in-game experience with LPL
• Hire, mentor, and grow producers for teams within your space.
• Organize the daily development efforts of the team, leading team meetings, managing planning efforts and ensuring delivery against the product roadmap and LoL Esports Manager strategy.
• Build strong relationships with partner teams to drive the success of joint projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Production role or project management role - deep, practiced knowledge of product strategy and product development with expertise in aligning product roadmaps with desired outcomes and goals.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in a people management role or mentorship
• Experience with managing external partnership with developers and publishers
• Must be passionate for League of Legends Esports and have solid knowledge on LPL teams and pro players, LPL history and LPL game team & game strategy etc.
• Experience with Agile frameworks - managing the priority of team and product backlogs and know your way around a product roadmap.
• Bi-lingual in English and Mandarin

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience playing sports games, strategy games and other titles in the sports/strategy genre, and have a deep understanding of the strategy game progression and associated systems
• You take a holistic systems thinking view of the product development life-cycle and adapt processes accordingly.
• Experience being the accountable party for co-development game products
• Experience with a global, live game service
