SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Manager, Localization Project Management is responsible for managing a team of Localization Project Managers who are responsible for handling day-to-day localization-related inquiries from various teams. As a leader of the Localization Project Management team, he/she works closely with internal teams and external partners to drive globalization through all phases of development from concept to release. This role will be responsible for overseeing every localization and LQA process step, working to deliver all Localization projects on schedule while serving as a champion for our globalization efforts. He/she will also help the local and international team plan an achievable scope of work, meet milestones and deadlines, communicate and document decisions, problems, or new information transparently, and ultimately deliver a product everyone is proud of.
We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and coach members of the Localization Project Management team through planning, organization, and communication; responsible for assigning and managing internal and external resources
- Develops, improves, and implements localization and LQA strategies, as well as helps Sr. Director, Global Ops Support develop and manage the project budget; drives strategic localization initiatives and ensures that projects are aligned with the company’s business priorities and within budget
- Oversees the planning and execution of localization projects; works with the team and across cross- functional groups to ensure that all content, both in-game and across various communication channels, is high in quality, on-brand, consistent, and aligned with the company’s strategic goal
- Establishes, develops, improves, and implements efficient and effective localization work processes, pipelines, and workflow; oversees the implementation of localization policies and procedures; spearheads localization initiatives including translation quality, process improvements, vendor strategy, and tools improvements
- Reviews, research, and makes recommendations on localization tools when purchasing new tools (software or online); evangelizes best practices, contributes to strategic decisions, and proactively problem solves as a localization subject matter expert
- Other duties as assigned
Work Experience
- 5 years of localization and/or translation experience
- 2+ years management experience
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Knowledge/Skills
- 5 years of project managing, with a demonstrated ability to manage and drive projects to successful completion
- Previous experience in game localization required
- Solid knowledge of the current state of the game industry preferred
- Must be able to prioritize the team’s work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities efficiently and effectively
- Must have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to find solutions and provide recommendations to all levels of management
- Must have the ability to act proactively to solve problems, utilizing excellent time management and organization skills
- Must have a thorough understanding of quality management and process improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills required
- Fluency in English and Korean is a must

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (annually)
The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $109,000.00 - $113,000.00 annually.
Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual’s pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
