We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Learning & Development to lead our L&D initiatives. This leadership role involves overseeing a dedicated team, including an Onboarding Specialist and an L&D Specialist. You will be responsible for spearheading a range of projects designed to enhance management training, new hire onboarding, team effectiveness, talent development, and learning management system operations. You will report directly to the Director of People Programs, and your role will play a crucial part in crafting and implementing an L&D strategy that elevates the performance of individuals and teams across the company.
What You'll Be Doing
- Strategic L&D Leadership: Collaborate with the Director of People Programs to develop a comprehensive L&D strategy that aligns with organizational goals, focusing on the enhancement of individual and team performance.
- Manager Training and Enablement: Oversee the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of manager training and enablement programs to ensure they are effective, scalable, and support the evolving needs of the organization.
- New Hire Onboarding: Lead the development and refinement of onboarding processes that ensure new employees are effectively integrated into the company culture and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Team Effectiveness Action Planning: Initiate and manage team effectiveness programs that address team dynamics, communication, and collaboration to improve overall productivity and satisfaction.
- Learning Management System Operations: Oversee the operation and evolution of the learning management system to ensure it effectively supports training and development activities.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities within the L&D strategy, making data-informed decisions to enhance learning outcomes.
- Leadership Coaching: Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute an executive coaching program that supports leadership development and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key partner to company leadership, advising on best practices for mentoring, coaching, and engaging teams to drive high levels of performance and engagement.
You Will Thrive In This Role If
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in L&D, talent development, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing L&D projects, from conception through to implementation and evaluation.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and digital learning platforms.
- Experience in designing and implementing manager training programs and executive coaching initiatives.
- Ability to see the bigger picture and develop L&D strategies that align with company objectives.
- Creativity in evolving training and development programs to meet the changing needs of the workforce and the organization.
- Proficiency in leveraging data analytics to guide strategic decisions and improve learning outcomes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully developing and implementing comprehensive L&D programs in a similar organizational context.

- Accreditation with self-assessment tools designed to enhance individual and team performance (e.g. DiSC, Insights Discovery, etc.)
- Familiarity with Team Effectiveness models (e.g. GRPI, Katzenback and Smith, etc.)

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000 to $148,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
