The Diablo team is seeking a passionate, dedicated Consumer Marketing Manager that’s eager to learn and contribute toward Diablo IV, with the goal of ushering one of gaming’s most beloved franchises into a new era through marketing.
As an integral member of the Diablo Global Marketing team, this candidate will help create and deploy marketing plans that engage a global audience through innovative brand storytelling, capturing the hearts and imaginations of entertainment fans worldwide.
This individual will be responsible for cross-functional and external creative agency coordination, providing critical planning and production support required to implement best-in-class marketing campaigns at the brand and product level across a variety of consumer touchpoints, including social media, live events and activations, broadcast media, consumer products and more.
In addition to knowledge of and passion for the Diablo universe, the ideal candidate will have a background in marketing or advertising at an agency or client side in the gaming, entertainment or tech industries with experience developing campaigns for reputable brands that resonate in culture. This position requires an expert in marketing who is a proactive self-starter constantly looking to push the envelope with innovative and clever ideas.
Covid-19 Hiring Update: We’re currently in a work-from-home model, and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position but will transition to at least a partial in-office position based out of Irvine, CA. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide planning and production support for key brand and seasonal marketing campaigns that drive our business, fuel brand affinity, and breakthrough into culture.
- Bring brand partnerships to life in innovative ways that impact culture and drive engagement.
- Provide critical production support to our International teams that allows us to activate our global marketing strategies and campaigns at the regional level.
- Lead and develop creative executions and production processes of advertising campaigns, trailers, visual identities, packaging, paid media integrations, events, social and CRM activities.
- Brief and manage internal and external agency partners to create break through creative executions, ensuring all concepts and marketing materials deliver against marketing strategies and objectives.
- Oversee creative development to provide feedback and direction.
- Oversee and track creative production, ensuring schedules and deadlines are met.
- Work with consumer insights and marketing analytics teams to make data-informed, insights-driven marketing decisions in support of our campaigns.
- Research and build on standard processes – creative formats, player acquisition lessons, paid media KPI’s, competitive landscape, brand partner executions, etc.
- Work with developers, cross-functional teams, and brand partners to develop strategies and plans that bring the franchise to life across marketing, fueling fandom beyond the game and bringing new audiences into our universe.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in brand marketing, creative agency account management (or equivalent client-side position), preferably in the entertainment or gaming industries – live services marketing experience valued.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in communications or marketing.
- Experience collaborating within a large organization, driving creative work with multiple internal departments and 3rd party agencies/ partners.
- Understanding of brand strategy and ability to develop marketing briefs that inspire cutting edge creative work.
- Experience supporting the development of integrated campaigns that blend traditional, digital, social, and influencer marketing – performance marketing experience is a plus.
- Self-starter mentality and track-record for innovative and clever marketing ideas with desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement
- Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Extremely organized, diligent, detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, as well as verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to craft a narrative.
- Ability to effectively interact with internal/external stakeholders and all levels of management with exceptional skills in preparing and presenting materials across varying audiences.
- Passion for gaming and understanding of current industry trends.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $87,480.00 - $161,910.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
