What We Need:
The Manager, First-Party Party Marketing is an exciting role at 2K. Ideal candidates should have experience in the gaming space or familiarity with digital entertainment marketing and store front paid media.
Success will begin with establishing strong First-Party relationships (PlayStation, XBOX, Nintendo, Steam, Stadia, Epic) and extend to our ability to create superior marketing strategies and execute innovative, best-in-class activations geared to current and next-gen promotion opportunities.
With award-winning games and best-selling franchises in your portfolio of titles – and an astute understanding of the interactive entertainment industry – this individual will work cross-functionally with key 2K disciplines to plan and secure impactful marketing support from First-Party partners.
What You Will Do:
- Work with Global Marketing and other relevant teams to prepare First-Party Marketing strategies and plans across both paid and earned media opportunities and provide First-Party partners with a holistic marketing strategy for your portfolio of 2K game titles –– as you balance the value of both earned and paid media initiatives
- Working with relevant 2K teams generate a prioritized list of marketing beats and initiatives for your portfolio of 2K game titles and share with First-Party partners through a weekly sync call and written documentation
- Evangelize the value of marketing beats and bespoke opportunities to First-Party partners in an effort to secure on-console store placement and off-console social support in the form of blogs, newsletters and Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube support
- Coordinate with 2K stakeholders to ensure game assets including screen shots, trailers and related metadata that support marketing beats and initiatives are delivered to First-Party partners in adherence to established deadlines
- Monitor campaign executions, KPIs and proactively report on anticipated and received First-Party partner coverage in our Confluence portal and on related team sync calls
- Be a source of truth with global 2K relevant teams to ensure worldwide collaboration on First-Party Marketing initiatives by sharing strategies, priorities, plans, and assets. Additionally, identify successful territory-level executions and amplify on a global stage
- Support marketing teams to identify opportunities to grow our games via First-Party, providing ideas and recommendations when we have under performance or areas we can continue to push for sales optimization or growth
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit:
- 5+ years of digital and/or partnership marketing experience
- Digital paid media experience
- Comfortable with professionally representing 2K to external partners such as Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo
