What We Need:
As a Manager, will formulate the Annual Operation Budget by reviewing, analyzing, and making recommendations on budget requests for various assigned business areas under 2K Games (Studios/Publishing areas). This candidate will be a strategic problem solver, highly analytical, creative, and have a validated ability to successfully lead financial responsibilities and decision-making in a constantly evolving business. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with senior executives, various business teams, and multiple partners across 2K/T2 and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Manager will report to a Director, FP&A.
Job Responsibilities Will Include:
- Lead preparation of consolidated Annual Operating Budget and long-range project/by-title P&L planning which include partnership with various business partners and internal finance team to collect and capture operating and project assumptions
- Prepare monthly financial and operational reporting with variance analysis presented in a concise manner across all departments of the business, including corporate finance, executives and finance leadership
- Identify and research variances to weekly and monthly forecasts, annual budget/long-range plan and quarterly Product Investment Review Process (PIRP) for consolidated and by title P&Ls, including being able to identify permanent vs timing variances
- Prepare, report, monitor and manage key financial and non-financial performance indicators including: P&L, key performance measurements, cost allocations, and product development pipeline
- Identify risks to forecasts/budgets and propose courses of action to help achieve financial goals or targets
- Use data and make recommendations to influence strategic decision-making and planning. Independently align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary
- Build financial models and analyses to draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements using validated financial knowledge and business acumen
- Act as key advisory to the business owners in actively leading assigned P&L or business areas under mentorship leadership of Directors/Vice President
- Collaboration with following partners: internal finance team; functional teams for developing forecasts and budgets; accounting team for close process, financial analysis and decision support for business
- Work with the Finance and Business teams to set up new processes and procedures, and opportunities for operational improvement
- Prepares ad-hoc reports, special projects, and presentations for various internal partners
Who We Think Will Be A Phenomenal Fit:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; (MBA is a plus)
- Minimum 6 - 8 years of experience in finance
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Power Point is required
- Excellent executive presence and communication skills, with ability to engage and influence senior executives (including Finance team members and functional leaders).
- Self-Starter with "Can-do" attitude, a desire to learn, and ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills to balance multiple business priorities simultaneously and prioritize and complete work within firm deadlines
- General accounting knowledge preferred
- Proactive approach to problem solving including analytical and information system skills
- Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase and JDE a plus
