GSN Games is looking for a Manager of Data Analytics to join our team in Boston!

What You'll Do:
As a Manager of Data Analytics at GSN Games, you will be responsible for driving how our studio interprets and analyzes data to drive decisions across product, marketing, and design. You will be our hands-on expert in the latest data science methodologies and analytics, utilizing them to reach actionable conclusions about performance while helping us to optimize product user flows, understand player engagement and retention, prioritize development efforts, and much more. You will lead and mentor our analytics team and be a champion of our data-driven decision-making culture. In partnership with our product management team, you will drive key decision-making around reporting tools and strategies, so we can enable teams across the studio to measure their performance and communicate results effectively. This position reports to the Director of Product.
About the Role:
- Analyze and make suggestions on key product optimization points
- Derive actionable intelligence from user event reporting and product telemetry
- Analyze and optimize revenue performance, fairness, and user engagement for our portfolio of skill-based games
- Analyze our in-game economy and tournament offerings and work with designers to optimize user flows and systems
- Collaborate with product managers, analysts and development teams to understand our products and platform and roll out key insights
- Drive improvements to data tracking and reporting
- Coach and mentor junior analysts
About You:
The ideal candidate loves data, has a knack for optimization, and enjoys continuous a/b testing. This is a position requiring partnership with our design, development, and marketing teams to experiment, analyze, and optimize our products and platforms. The right candidate will look forward to the challenge!
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in data and analytics-intensive role, ideally in e-commerce or mobile gaming
- You can effortlessly write SQL
- Knowledge of various third-party data visualization platforms, such as Tableau
- The ability to work on and manage multiple concurrent projects for multiple stakeholders is essential
- Experience with A/B testing and statistical significance calculation
- Able to define requirements autonomously for any project
- Able to understand, identify and recommend reporting needs and improvements
- Open, transparent, and collaborative communication style
- General business acumen

- Deep familiarity with iOS, Android, or Facebook games marketplaces, design trends and analytics best practices.
