Logistics ManagerSummary
The Logistics Manager will lead the logistics day to day operations in the APAC region in accordance with company objectives, policies, and procedures. You will take pride in leading our APAC logistics team, with a focus on encouraging high performance, delivery to customer and continuous improvement. You will oversee our freight providers for logistics operations related to inbound/outbound transportation, distribution, and returns. This position will also be responsible for our broader customer service objective of delivering in full, and on-time to our customers, through ensuring operational excellence in the daily execution of our logistics plan. The position requires superior business acumen, strong service provider leadership, and innovative process improvement skills. In addition, possess influencing and leadership skills that inspire and facilitate an energetic environment that will deliver excellence.What You'll Do
- Full cycle logistics management of freight and transport providers and ensuring SLAs are met consistently to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Lead and develop a high performing logistics team and culture by motivating staff to maximise performance and grow capabilities.
- Foster strong relationships with internal customers and external providers, managing the resolution of delivery issues and handling complaints.
- Develop and execute Logistics KPIs to drive departmental performance and ensure achievement and compliance with the operational strategy across its safety, quality, delivery and cost goals.
- Ensure continuous improvement and optimisation of business systems, processes, and procedures to improve and transform our operational processes and compliance performance.
- Actively engage with safety initiatives and promote a safety culture across the site.
- Act as a champion on sustainability, identifying ways for us to optimise how we operate and support the achievement of our sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with departments to integrate logistics with electronic business systems or processes.
- Oversee resource planning activities to successfully deliver field service and customer requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree of business in logistics and supply chain management or related.
- 10+ years of experience working in the logistics and supply chain management field.
- 5+ years of experience in a managerial role in the logistics and supply chain management field.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and lead staff.
- Demonstrated experience across multiple supply chain disciplines, with first hand customer management experience.
- Strong experience in leading operational excellence and delivering value in productivity through process and continuous improvement.
- Experienced in supplier management of transport carriers.
- Solid financial and commercial supply chain acumen.
