Localization Testing Head Tester

Main Purpose of the Role and Considerations

LT is a dynamic area where there are peak periods of activity (April – November). The workload and the make-up of teams vary. It is therefore necessary that the you have experience working in a team environment of constant change. Reporting to the Localization Testing Managers, some of your principal tasks that you will have with us are:

• You will provide project coordination support to the Loc Project Management team (Loc PM, LT Test Leads & LT Coordinators).
• You will assign daily tasks to the testing team.
• You will provide project testing support to the pool of testers assigned to the project.
• You will check and also ensure quality of the localized products following EA procedures and requirements

Main Responsibilities

• • • • You will manage and control LT Testers' efforts (local and remote)
      • You will assign daily tasks to LT Testers
      • You will perform Bug Tracking management tasks
      • You will perform Content Management Systems management tasks
      • You will support testers with Hardware/Tools knowledge/setup
      • You will support the LT Test Leads / Coordination in the preparation of the daily status reports.
      • Risk Management - Responsible for detecting, understanding the risks affecting testing and and communicating them.

• • • • You will ensure correct bug severity evaluation, write-up of bugs and proposed corrections to facilitate bug fixing
      • You will provide input and ideas that could improve the LT progress as early as possible
      • You will maintain strong cooperation within the team

Experience Needed and Skills

• +1.5 years of experience in Localization Industry
• +1.5 years of experience working in a multicultural team
• +1.5 years of experience in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment
• Excellent mother tongue and English skills. Fluent both written and orally in both languages
• Very good knowledge in cultural areas related to EA video games (sports, WWII…)
• You will need to demonstrate knowledge of the video games industry
• You will need to demonstrate knowledge of video game platforms (PC, consoles & software)
• You will need to demonstrate knowledge of EA Loc tools (Content management tools, bug tracking tools…)
• You will need to demonstrate a structured approach to testing task with eye for details
