Amazon Games is seeking a talented and experienced Localization Engineer to own, build, and grow our localization pipeline. We want Amazon gaming customers around the world to have immersive experiences in their preferred language and locales. This requires us to think globally from the start and put processes in place that enable creative, high-quality localization at high speed without compromising quality. This is an impactful role, with the opportunity to define and then realize our localization process for multiple internal and external titles, advise business and studio leadership, and contribute to the wider localization engineering community across Amazon.

Our team is focused on delivering localized game and game-related content at scale to a global audience. We translate and support several live game titles consisting of millions of words and tens of thousands of multimedia assets in multiple target languages. Additionally, our team supports the localization and delivery of content for Prime Gaming, Marketing, and Web teams. As we develop, launch, and support more and more products, we need a skilled localization engineer to take our pipeline and delivery to the next level.

You are a localization engineer with strong fundamental programming skills and a passion for localization, automation, and delivery quality. You are an advocate for players and developers; ensuring our pipeline remains functional, reliable, and transparent so our localization teams can delight our customers, adhere to the highest standards, and achieve operational excellence. You work with the localization team to build a set of tools and services that improve the quality of translation, testing, and delivery of our localized resources. You have a successful track record working as a localization engineer to ensure the quality of translated assets for complex live services, excelling at communication, maintaining customer focus, and aligning with partnered game teams to deliver the highest quality product.
