Localisation and Editorial Coordinator

Reporting to the Lead Dialogue Engineer, the Localisation and Editorial Coordinator’s primary role is to co-ordinate and facilitate the production and delivery of both localised and editorial dialogue content on assigned Total War projects.
The right candidate will be working with our team of audio engineers, freelance editors and other localisation specialists to deliver this content and contribute to the stellar audio experience for Total War titles developed at the studio.
Key Responsibilities
Working alongside our experienced dialogue engineering team, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering any editorial tasks to a AAA standard, adhering to our strict specifications and ensuring consistency throughout the delivery. This will involve you editing this content yourself or managing and overseeing our pool of freelance editors, feeding back to them where necessary. You will also liaise with our Audio Dev. Managers to ensure the work fits within the schedule.
You will also take ownership of delivering the localised content for each Total War product where appropriate, working alongside our Localisation Managers at Sega and compiling the necessary information from our Dialogue Engineers and Writers. You will be reviewing the assets upon delivery and ensuring technical quality and consistency with the English recordings. You will also be responsible for the implementation and QC of your own content.
With a high emphasis on quality and commercial standards, you will help ensure a rich dialogue experience that is technically perfect. You will also look to continually evaluate and improve the process’ and pipelines for each area of responsibility.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Dialogue editorial skills
- Experience with ProTools 10
- Some experience using Wavelab
- Some experience using Waves Plugins, Izotope RX
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and software
- Passionate about Dialogue production
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Able to review the work of others and present detailed and constructive feedback
- Able to multi-task projects, plan and schedule dialogue production efforts while remaining quality focused and adhering to deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills
- Able to work as a team player and under own initiative
- A keen interest in and a passion for audio in video games
Desirable
- HND in Sound Engineering (or above)
- Experienced with the Wwise audio engine
- Experience working on shipped AAA titles
- Knowledge and familiarity of Total War brand
