Live Operations Analyst
PerBlue is looking for a motivated entry-level Live Operations (LiveOps) Analyst to help us deliver great gameplay experiences in our mobile games.
We’re a growing independent studio whose free-to-play mobile RPG and strategy games have been played by millions of people around the world. Our most recent release, Disney Heroes: Battle Mode , was named "Best Game of 2018" by the Samsung Galaxy Store. We have been named a “Top Workplace” by the Wisconsin State Journal and a "Best Place to Work" by Madison Magazine. Our high performing team of 60 is based in Madison, WI, as is this position.
Responsibilities
As a LiveOps Analyst, you will play a key role that will directly impact hundreds of thousands of players daily. You'll be part of a team responsible for delivering in-game events, promotions, and other tactics that increase engagement for our fans and achieve revenue goals. Because this is an entry level position, you can initially expect to support the team with data entry and analysis that will help us optimize the game for the game-playing community, test new features and content, and ensuring the game's overall health. As you master these initial skillsets, you'll use your analytics experience to help us create additonal data-driven ways to engage with our games' communities.
This highly cross-functional role interacts regularly with management, marketing, business intelligence, community support, and development teams.
As our ideal candidate, you'll be data- and research-driven and willing to take ownership of challenging projects. Because you'll spend a fair amount of time on data entry and analysis, you'll be efficient, accurate and detailed, and you'll welcome challenging deadlines. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Also, your academic or work experience will demonstrate an interest in human behavior, and you'll apply this to understanding every detail of our in-game economies, game mechanics, and player communities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Psychology, Statistics, or related field (higher degree such as MBA a plus)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Deep curiosity about what motivates people to engage and interact in video game communities
- Ability to effectively communicate with producers, developers, and management
- Good technical, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Familiar with Tableau and Excel
Details & Perks
We offer 6+ weeks of paid time off, a comprehensive insurance package, and a well-matched 401k. A catered lunch program, well-stocked kitchen, and membership to our local hackerspace Sector67 are also part of working with us. You'll be part of an energetic and collaborative environment, and work with a great team. We have flexible hours and are located in a vibrant neighborhood in beautiful downtown Madison.
This is a full-time position based in Madison, WI. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
