Legal Operations Coordinator

Job Description: The Legal Operations Coordinator reports to the Sr. Manager of Legal Operations and is responsible for the knowledge management of the legal department. Generally, the role supports Magic Leap’s global law department and champions the communications within the legal department and outward facing company-wide. This role contributes to the overall operational effectiveness of the legal team, and coordinates with the other members of the legal team to ensure the department’s objectives are realized. In support of those objectives, the role’s primary duties will be:- Review, draft and revise company-wide policies, conduct legal research with respect to policies; coordinate with internal and external legal resources; facilitate policy development via emails and tracking; maintain policy repository with version control; attend policy meetings; coordinate with the policy project manager and serve as back-up project manager.
- Review, draft and revise regular cadence of legal department communications to share company-wide via email, postings, or other means of communication; assist in planning and executing legal all-hands, weekly meetings, Lunch & Learns, and open office hours; author, promote, and maintain the monthly legal blog and coordinate and facilitate various trainings.
- Author and assist in writing legal department processes and procedures; facilitate and coordinate incorporation of new processes and procedures; organization and centralization of key templates, policies, processes, memos, trainings and other learnings.
- Develop and drive relationships with cross-functional teams including people and finance.
- Work collaboratively with other legal support staff to drive department efficiency by assisting attorneys with various projects, identifying areas of improvement and implementing changes in current processes.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required
- 1 to 3 years corporate communication or marketing experience.
- Legal administrative support experience helpful.
- Creative, problem solving, can-do attitude.
- Preferred Skills
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, personable and outgoing, organized, detail-oriented, multitasking, data analytics, and database management.
- Experience with Microsoft 360, Google suite of products, Outlook, Wiki editing, Slack, Internet research.
