League Operations II - VALORANT Esports

You will be the central contact for Riot Regional Teams, the VALORANT Anti-Cheat team, the VALORANT Player Behavior Team, and the Riot Global Esports Events team. You will manage the global player database ensuring all players meet the minimum eligibility requirements to compete. Additionally, you will run the end-to-end bug exploit process by working with the VALORANT dev team to communicate known bugs that may compromise competitive integrity. You will also manage the global competition calendar and stay informed about any potential operational issues flagging them. Lastly, you will work with your team and partners to develop competitive formats for global events.

You will join our VALORANT Competitive Operations team, which designs the competitive ecosystem. The team is is also responsible for creating the rules and policies that govern the sport, investigating violations of those rules, and enforcing penalties. You will report into the Senior Manager of League Operations.

Responsibilities:

• You will be the Champions Tour operations contact for Riot Regional Teams.
• You will work with the Riot Global Events team to design tournament and game formats that align with partner needs.
• You will work with the VALORANT Developer Team to manage the end-to-end bug exploit process for esports.
• You will work with your team to vet player eligibility for all Champions Tour competitions.

Required Qualifications:

• You have 4+years experience in the field of sports operations or media/entertainment
• You have experience working with partners across teams and regions
• You have experience achieving excellent results working with diverse teams
• You have experience defining goals and building data instrumentation systems to track metrics
• You are a fan of sports or esports

Desired Qualifications:

• You have experience participating in sports or competitive gaming
• Experience in the FPS genre
• For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise and choices that focus on your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!
