As a Lead Technical Artist: Tools and Pipeline, you will be responsible for helping to unify Tech Art Tools and Scripts for deployment and day to day use with our teams. You will also be building partnerships and alignment with our Tools Engineering teams to help improve our toolchain. Your work with support content and design teams to achieve frustration-free implementation and workflows.

COVID-19 Hiring Update:
We've transitioned to a work-from-home model, and we're continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.
Leadership Duties:
- Assist with Tech Art Director Vision and Strategy
- Assist in regular task planning and triage for group
- Partnering with other Leads and Directors to meet visual and technical standards
- Researching, defining, extending, and maintaining production pipelines, processes, and workflows
- Collaborating with Art, Engineering, and Design to ensure that technical art vision is serving the project needs
- Resource planning and recruiting Collaboration
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of DCC tools, deployment, and pipeline standards
- Champion game-specific Editor/Engine workflows
- Implement and overseeing the development of Art pipelines including proprietary tools, software plug-ins, and in game technology
- Managing and maintaining asset integration, files, pipelines, and processes
- Managing and maintaining documentation for Tools and Pipelines
- Identifying problems and solving them by inventing or building robust technical implementations
- Achieve continuous feedback buy-in from teams for improvements or changes
Background:
- Experience in real-time game development needs and game performance
- Experience in working with remote and fast-paced developers
- Self-driven, passionate, creative problem solver, and a great team first attitude
- Ability to identify, mentor and grow talent
- Experience leading a team in game/film development
Extra awesome points for:
- Familiarity with design workflow visual development
- Familiarity writing tools in Python, C++ or C# for DCC applications such as Maya, Photoshop, ZBrush, Substance and Perforce
- Rigging experience
- Tool development experience
