Aristocrat has established itself as a leader in digital casino gaming over the past decade. To strengthen it further, it is expanding digital gaming in iGaming domain (real money digital platform).
The Technical Writer maintains the existing document base and develops new user manuals and technical documentation for game platform and GDK related products. This includes providing assistance in development of training materials, help files and syllabi for the current product line and performing QA testing as required to document procedures and features.What You'll Do
- Conduct detailed examinations of company software products to develop the required technical documentation.
- Communicate with product designers and developers to understand product details
- Submits draft versions of technical documents for review and makes required revisions.
- Collaborate with technical staff
- Analyze and manage existing and potential content
- Create and maintain the information architecture
- Make high-quality documentation that meets standards, is appropriate and easy to use
- Produce and distribute tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
- Research and collect usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers
- Assists in the final preparation of technical documents prior to delivery.
- Prepares weekly status updates regarding works in progress and the expected completion dates of assigned documentation projects
- Attends product meetings and serve as a documentation resource when requested.
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors
What We're Looking For
- Graduate in any subject, 5+ years of experience in technical writing of software documentation. Preferably from a product driven company.
- Ability to translate highly technical information into easily understandable information for customers
- Creative skills and usage of photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding
- Excellent written skills in English
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exposure to Photoshop, Robo Help, MS Visio & Agile development
- Professional Writing or Creative Writing is a big plus
- Background in engineering or computer science is a big plus
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
