Lead QA Analyst - DCUO

Opportunity
The Lead QA Analyst position requires managing a team of testers, delegating testing tasks, tracking tester performance, providing guidance as well as coordinating with department leads and owners to ensure all aspects of the project are fully tested. The Lead QA Analyst position requires a strong knowledge of QA methodologies and practices, as well as an ability to handle and act upon high volumes of information and responsibilities.
Leader In Craft
- Manage, coach and task assigned Test Group
- Main point of contact for the Development team within the QA Department
- Assure patches and titles are fully tested prior to launch
- Manage and maintain bug database
- Act as a liaison between QA team and other internal departments
- Manage creation and implementation of test plans, using test case management system, for assigned titles
- Work with QA Engineering for automated test design, creation and tool implementation
- Consistently apply a proactive, best practice approach with QA processes
- Journeyman testing – must be able to think outside the scope of the test plan when appropriate (ad hoc testing, documenting negative test cases, etc.)
- General game play testing
Experience:
- 3+ years of QA experience in the software development industry
- 1+ years of experience managing others directly or indirectly
- Experience managing a bug tracking database (TestTrack Pro, DevTrack, Jira, Bugzilla, etc.)
- Experience in the QA test process on any of the major console platforms or PC/MAC
- Working knowledge of the software development and product release process
- Strong analytical, leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate and coordinate between multiple teams
- Able to interpret high and low level design documentation and create appropriate test cases (ad hoc direction, positive and negative)
- NOTE: This is not a QA automation or programming focused position
Pluses:
- Working knowledge of networking and patch procedures
- Working knowledge Perforce (or any other related version control software)
- Working knowledge of C++, Linux, Unix, Java
- Working knowledge of the SCEA TRC
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
- Familiarity with modern MMORPGs
- Any combination of experience/training to demonstrate possession of specific job skills
