Lead Product Manager, Platform & Hardware

Job Description

Magic Leap is looking for a Lead Product Manager with a hardware engineering background, preferably in systems engineering, EE/Compute, sensors, or optics. Magic Leap is a dynamic company and this is a hands-on role. You can expect to do market analysis, roadmap definition and prioritization, and presentation to senior leadership all in a course of a few weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed feature requirements and strategic roadmaps for extremely advanced hardware products.
• Quantify and test your product hypothesis and feature roadmap, and make sure it aligns with strategic company goals.
• Prioritize and communicate user and technical product requirements to various engineering teams.
• Establish metrics to ensure the products are shipped on schedule.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years in a technical Product Management or hardware engineering role.
• Thorough understanding of modern product management and product development practices.
• Experience in building business cases and product roadmaps across a wide variety of industries.
• Experience working on highly technical and algorithmically complex products strongly preferred.
• Conceptualized and shipped mass market, advanced hardware products that your customers loved. Either as a product manager, or a hardware engineer. Preferably a mix of both, and preferably across several markets and/or companies. (5+ years of experience).
• 7+ years experience working with your users and know what it takes to get actionable insights from user research.
• Managed and tracked several product roadmaps at once. All the way from an idea to product delivery and support.
• Technical proficiency delivering presentations to your customers, your technical peers, your business partners and your CEO.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field. Bachelor accepted with relevant experience.
