Your Mission
Infinity Ward - Austin is seeking a talented and passionate Lead Networking Engineer to oversee online and networking development. This is an opportunity to lead development on the world’s premiere FPS franchise.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Architect and implement high performance network code solutions for client and server game logic.
- Develop networking code to interact with backend systems and online services
- Maximize scale by optimizing network replication, reliability, and throughput
- Partner with the engineering and design teams to build multi-server gameplay systems
- Optimize and debug game network traffic and improve on existing network architecture
Player Profile
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in network programming.
- 1 shipped product working as a senior engineer specializing in networking and online code.
- Excellent debugging and performance analysis skills.
- Experience working on backend game systems or on client interface to backend game systems.
- Experience with game networking techniques.
- Deep knowledge of C++ programming and practices.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Pluses:
- Experience as a managing engineer.
- Experience in other areas of video game technology.
- Experience with multi-platform development, including PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
- Working in and extending an established code base.
