Ideal candi date is a strong collaborator; able to reach across organizations to clarify expectations, achieve 'buy-in' where appropriate, and verify system performance through to the final customer. Ideal candidate has a strong technical background and is excited to provide coaching on topics including 3D CAD modeling, 2D Drawings, tolerance analysis, exact constraint design, etc. This position will be based at HQ in Plantation, FL and will require you to be onsite.
Responsibilities
- Ideal candidate is hands-on and versatile, able to serve in a leadership role and as a direct contributor.
- Drives implementation of calibration stations from concept phase to factory-appropriate solutions (on site and at international manufacturing facilities).
- Implements/enforces processes that ensure a high standard of quality for mechanical design, testing, analysis, 3D CAD modeling, drawings/specs, BOM creation, etc.
- Ideal candidate has a strong technical background and is excited to provide coaching on topics including 3D CAD modeling, 2D Drawings, tolerance analysis, exact constraint design, etc.
- Ideal candidate coaches the team to deliver mechanical concepts backed by fundamental engineering principles, calculations, simulations, tolerance analysis, etc.
- Ideal candidate exercises compassionate leadership, communicates clear performance expectations, and coaches team towards independence.
- Adept at problem solving, issue-resolution, and continued system improvement. Understands when an off-the-shelf solution is appropriate and when creative, in-house designs are necessary.
- Ideal candidates can identify short and long-term solutions, confidently schedule work, and close issues in a timely manner.
