Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced software developer to contribute to Magic Leap’s development and implementation of next-generation interaction. The Lead Human Input Systems Developer role is responsible for designing and developing tests, proofs of concepts, and application frameworks that furthers Magic Leap’s goal of creating the best interaction experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain tools to profile and prototype interactive experiences
• Maintain test frameworks and simulations to verify inputs and interaction schemes
• Develop and implement proof of concepts for interaction architectures
• Quickly prototype software for testing and development
• Work with other engineers and designers to develop and validate interaction concepts
• Contribute knowledge and promote a knowledge-sharing culture

Qualifications (Required):

• 8+ years of professional software development
• Extensive knowledge of C# and C++
• Experience modeling human input systems
• Experience development using game engines such as Unity 3D and Unreal
• Experienced in developing on Android
• Experience writing APIs
• Proficient with third-party software libraries
• Some experience with real-time operating systems
• Ability to work in a group and independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing multimodal or cross-modal experiences
• Expert C++/C skills
• Experience in input test development
• Experience in writing and debugging native code
• Experience with machine learning
• Experience developing threaded applications
• Experience with continuous integration

Education:

• B.S. in Computer Science, a related degree, or equivalent experience
