- Define technical solutions for gameplay features following design documentation, design input/collaboration, and workflow tools
- Collaborate with other teams to help guide ongoing feature development
- Drive design discussions, implement and refactor gameplay systems
- Support and align with other feature teams working on your project
- Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the project’s production and development
- Write robust and maintainable code
- Lead your team of engineers to do the same in a prioritized manner to best deliver the project on time and to budget
Who you are:
- Deep knowledge of C++
- Comfortable in large code bases
- A passion for creating fun gameplay
- Ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools
- Experience with multiple gameplay systems (animation, character control, camera, physics, AI, audio, VFX, etc)
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Creative problem-solving skills where you like to think innovatively
- Prior experience working as a programmer on at least one shipped title on current-gen consoles from start to finish
