Game Artist (M-Gun Studio)

Deciding to expand its portfolio of products further, Voodoo has more recently announced that it will invest $200M in blockchain gaming studios, to lead the transformation of mobile gaming.

Our Gaming team is made up of hyper-casual, hybrid-casual, casual, mid-core and blockchain experts. Our 'Core' games team supports internal and external studios worldwide in creating, developing and launching new hit games, whilst our 'Live' games team focuses on delivering higher engagement on our existing and successful games.

You will have the opportunity to be one of the first key roles to join M-Gun, a newly created blockchain studio fully backed by Voodoo. As the art lead, on top of being responsible for all the art aspects of the projects, we expect you to be a fundamental driver of the studio's creative process, strategy, and philosophy. Blockchain is a whole new world to explore. Being first in the market means that you can participate in what blockchain can become and unleash its full potential. As a new market, everything is possible, so we need people able to explore new ideas extremely fast, test the wildest ideas, and kill them quickly if needed. As you could understand, the role implies a lot of ownership. You will be one of the critical people who will shape the studio and bring it to success.

Role

• Create the next generation of blockchain games for mobile
• Actively participate in the studio creation, from game design to strategy and production philosophy.
• Work closely with the Tech Lead and Studio Director on new projects
• Always look for a hit, even if that implies regularly killing prototypes
• Decent expertise in almost any art-related topic
• Create art direction guidelines for outsourcing
• In a near future, build and manage the art team

Profile

• At least 5 years of experience in mobile game production
• Experience using Unity
• Significant experience working with outsourcers
• Decent knowledge of all art aspect
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
• Ability to create fast and kill even faster
• Comfortable in a new environment where everything has to be created from the ground up
• Good level of English ( both writing and speaking)
