Lead Designer

The Position

We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated design lead for our Stockholm studio. As the Lead Designer of one of our Live Service games, you will safeguard the vision of the established project, while providing reliable design leadership for your team.

Your role will be to guide decisions on game systems, content and balance, with the goal of supporting and improving upon the existing game. To do this, you will make use of feedback and insights from the game’s community, your team and your Product Owner.

On a high level you will lead the creative development and oversee the practical implementation of designs while working closely with the production team and other developers.

On a day to day basis you will take an active role in reviewing and guiding the work of your team, while also performing regular product reviews to ensure an appropriate overall quality level. You will, on some occasions, help with implementing and bug fixing in the Apex engine.

As you will work on a wide range of different game aspects we see the perfect candidate having a couple of years practical experience from different areas of game development as well as experience of being a lead.

Qualifications

• Leadership skills and experience in equivalent roles leading small to medium sized design teams
• Good production knowledge to be able to assist Producer with high level plans as well as story and task breakdowns and estimates
• Seniority within game design and/or level design with track record of at least 2 released titles
• Interest or experience with AA / AAA live service games
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
• Data management and editing with excel or similar
