What You’ll Do:
- Lead the delivery of projects end-to-end by combining your technical expertise and communication skills while working with various stakeholders across the organization
- Build new systems to provide high-volume, fault-tolerant, and scalable real-time event processing system based on distributed system architecture
- Build enterprise grade data lake and storage systems to support both business analytical needs and next generation data infrastructure
- Building data integration toolkit for backend services
- Support our data science team in deploying new ML algorithms for matchmaking, fraud and cheat detection
- Find better ways to move and process massive amounts of data from a variety of sources to formats consumable by reporting systems and people
- Improve monitoring and alarms that impact data integrity replication lag
- Work on a distributed system throughout its life-cycle - research, design, development, testing, CI / CD
- Support our product development team in creating new events to measure/track
Your Skillz:
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in programming using Python, Scala, or Java
- Expertise with relational SQL and experience working with OLAP, OLTP, NoSQL
- Advanced knowledge and experience building scalable, real-time, and high-performance data processing systems on the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience working with large scale distributed system architectures and microservice patterns
- Experience with recognized industry patterns, methodologies, and techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and solve the complex problems that distributed, scalable systems introduce
Bonus:
- Familiarity with Agile engineering practices
- 2+ years of experience on Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- 5+ years of experience with Spark Streaming, Storm, Flink, or other Stream Processing technologies
- 2+ years of experience working with Kafka or similar data pipeline backbone
- 2+ years of experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Hive or Redshift
- Experience with data discover, lineage, and validation frameworks
- Experience with Unix/Linux systems with scripting experience in Shell, Perl or Python
- Familiarity with Kinesis, Lamda. Serverless
- Prior experience in gaming, finance, or adtech domains
