Timbre’s Lead Campaign Designer confidently elevates and coordinates content across the gameplay team of our family friendly ARPG. They lead with humility in all that they do and are an innovator and elevator of best practices. Through managing Narrative and Level Design teams, they strive to connect players through simplistic, inclusive, and intuitive design. They promote and establish a high quality experience for our player, all while encouraging, mentoring and coaching our diverse team.
As a Lead Campaign Designer at Timbre, you will:
- Scope, prioritize and delegate features for a significant and prominent area of the game. Level Design: Quests, Missions, Encounters, and our Hub & Narrative Design: Cinematics, Voice Over, Localization, and Narrative Systems.
- Ensure the design team remain empowered to execute with confidence, enforcing clarity on the game vision by providing support, clear feedback and direction.
- Partner with the Game Director to align the efforts of Campaign Design with the overall vision and scope of the project.
- Prioritize an engaging player experience by developing a consistent, interactive narrative.
- Work with Production Partners to create and advance a development schedule that ensures timely delivery of all features.
- Oversee the performance and career development of our Lead Narrative and Lead Level Designer, providing coaching and support in a regular cadence
- Communicate strategic concepts and ideas across a range of internal and external stakeholders with clarity and intention
What you bring:
- Previous experience driving Narrative and/or Campaign Design, taking a console project (ideally AAA) through to final
- A deep and impassioned understanding of the integration and synthesis of Level and Narrative design
- An understanding of how to prioritize and scope large project features and how to collaborate with Production to ensure the on-time delivery of work
- Experience with Leadership responsibilities including performance management, task delegation and coaching
- A collaborative approach to communication: you are experienced in delivering clear, concise messages that are easily understood by all disciplines, as well as any external partners
