We are looking for a Lead Audio Designer who is passionate about making ground-breaking audio innovations and award-winning sound design for a AAA title. This is an opportunity to work closely with the members of the audio team, to shape and hone their skills, as well as contribute your own custom sound design for this new immersive and detailed world for our players to explore.
You will work alongside the Audio Director, other audio designers, and representatives from the other development disciplines to deliver the highest quality audio experience and attain our goal of Game of the Year.
Responsibilities:
- Professional understanding of foley, mixing, recording, sound design, sound implementation, voice over, music implementation, and localization experience. Help to set best practices and standards for these work categories.
- Create and implement sound assets to quality specifications, while helping the Audio Director to define the audio style and how that style is executed.
- Review and provide feedback on work from other audio team members. Mentor other sound designers where necessary.
- Assist Audio Leadership to specify the requirements for the audio department's needs for tools and pipeline to achieve the game's goals.
- Work with Production to adhere to development schedules and identify dependencies from other departments.
- Evaluate and communicate risk to Audio Leadership, Studio Leadership, and Production.
Requirements & Skills:
- 5 years of experience with game audio development, 3 years of which working on AAA content.
- Shipped titles on major platforms, such as PlayStation, Xbox, or PC.
- Proven department leadership experience.
- Experience working on narrative-driven games, features, and systems.
- Experience using Unreal Engine and Wwise, or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, especially while working with groups outside of the audio department.
TNM considers a number of factors when determining each role's base pay range, including industry benchmarks, location, experience, and other job specific skills. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other incentive compensation including equity and profit share. The estimated base pay range for this role is U.S. only and not applicable for locations outside of the U.S.
The estimated base pay range for this role is: $155,000 - $185,000
