Lead Artist for New Development, Toca Life: World

Toca Boca captures the spirit of play. We create digital toys and everyday products that are filled with fun and silliness that kids from any corner of the world can instantly relate to. Everything is designed from their perspective. We celebrate the diversity and quirkiness of their world and give them the freedom to play in ways that only they can dream up.

In order to be able to create more world-class digital toys, we're looking to expand our team in Stockholm with an experienced Lead Artist for new features in the Toca Life series. You will work together with play designers, artists, and developers creating experiences in Toca Life: World.

Toca Life: World

Toca Life: World is the first live product within the popular Toca Life franchise. We invite kids to tell their own stories in an ever-expanding and open-ended universe. Our vision is to offer kids a dynamic world where they find all the building blocks they need for their creative ambition.

We are always looking for new ways to expand the core experience. We want kids to be able to do new awesome things in Toca Life: World, like for example, create their own characters! We have high ambitions and lots of imagination, and we need a Lead Artist to help us shape the vision for what the future looks like.

What you’ll be doing

• Take ownership and set the visual style of Toca Life: World’s new features.
• Build and lead an incredible art team to support new features.
• Continuously improve the efficiency of art pipelines and workflows

If you want a taste of the kind of things we’re doing, just download Toca Life: World from the App Store or Google Play and create some characters. The Character Creator is one example of the kind of features you will be developing with the team. Kids love it!

Creating new features is not easy! We put a lot of effort and love in what we do, and we believe you will do the same.

Is this you?

• You have solid illustration and graphic design capabilities and are able to set structured processes that make the creation of visual assets from concept to final quality efficient.
• You have the leadership ability and the experience to enable a team of artists to be the best that they can be.
• You are able to effectively provide direction and feedback.

Good to know

This position is full time and based in our Stockholm office. We apply 6 months of probationary employment.

As we’re an international company, with over 10 nationalities and millions of users in every country, you have to be fluent in English.
