Lead Artist (Clipwire Games)

We are currently looking for an Art Lead with a minimum of 5 years in the game industry and 2+ years in a leadership role, to lead our art team’s work on our top-grossing game - Bingo Story, as well as future upcoming projects.
What You Will Do?
- Develop and drive the art style for our games
- Work with other disciplines to establish technical and aesthetic guidelines for art for our mobile games
- Ensure that all assets created by the art team and outsource studios conform to the style and technical guidelines our game titles
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of current processes and techniques, including, 3D modeling, shaders, lighting, and composition
- Participate in and run meetings, reviews, and planning as part of effective communication with both the team and outsourcing studios
- Inspire, motivate, and mentor other artists in best practices, processes, and procedures pertaining to production
- Work closely with the production team in creating schedules for the art department and outsourcing studios
- Oversee planning and ongoing team meetings with the creative and production teams to define and communicate the technical and artistic style of our games
- Collaborate with and guide artists to follow the visual style guide of a game
- Coach and mentor other artists to grow their vision and skillset
- Participate in recruitment to build the artistic team and foster their growth
- Inspire, motivate, and mentor other artists in best practices, processes, and procedures pertaining to production
- Work closely with the production team in creating schedules for the art department
What You Offer?
- A college diploma in fine arts or equivalent 6+ years as a professional artist or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of artist management experience within the mobile game industry
- Experience creating a broad range of art styles in both 2D and 3D mediums
- Experience managing both internal and outsourced art teams and pipelines
- Knowledge of Photoshop and 3D software (e.g. 3DS Max, Blender, Maya) and have a high capacity to learn new tools
- Well developed understanding of Unity art pipelines
- Experience managing both internal and outsourced art teams and pipelines
- Experience in planning and implementing sprints using Jira and/ or other project management software
- A track record managing, mentoring and coaching other artists
- Have effective analytical, written, oral, team, interpersonal, planning and organizational skills
- Deep understanding of art production for games and the project management aspect of the production process
- Have a passion for the industry and an understanding of market trends and styles.
Nice to Have
- Creating and delivering pitches
- Understanding of typography and game UI
- Familiarity with the casual mobile game landscape
