Lead Artist- Performance Marketing

We are looking for a talented Lead Artist- Performance Marketing to support our performance marketing department. The ideal candidate will be comfortable understanding marketing goals and strategic insights, leveraging the Miniclip art style to create a wide range of polished artwork, such as 3d models, logos, concept art, illustrations for usage on promotional art and marketing campaigns, high quality videos, using 2d and /or 3d assets and leading a team of CG designers.

This lead artist should be versatile in creating conceptual 2D images, transforming them into 3D assets, and polish 3D assets into high end illustrations. When it comes to video, the artist should have a high understanding of video composition, planification, animation and post production. Knowledge of sound design/editing will be a big plus. Additionally, must be flexible and enjoy working on a variety of different projects while being able to manage overlapping deadlines. Working as a team player, fast production and ability to quickly adapt to scope changes are a requirement!

Responsibilities

  • The Art Lead is ultimately responsible for quality and execution of art and comes with a wealth of experience managing teams and expectations.
  • Work with the User Acquisition team, to assess creative results and develop new revisions and concepts based on performance marketing data;
  • Work with UA and Product teams to be able to test and research different possible routes for game brands, grounding the designs in a more objective performance driven result;
  • Stay on top of industry trends and best practices across a variety of marketing channels such as Facebook, Snapchat or Tiktok ;
  • The Art Lead assures flawless communication, response time, planning and time estimations.
  • Ensure that all assets created by the art team and outsource studios confirm to the style and technical guidelines of the title.
  • Inspire, motivate and mentor other artists in best practices, and processes.
  • Produce artwork to embellish our products in marketing campaigns.
  • Create 2D & 3D environments, props and characters.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of lighting, colour, rendering and composition with a strong general art foundation.
  • Able to create artwork from scratch following a specific art style and understand how that translates into our marketing campaigns.
  • Have a strong sense of design and layout
  • Organise files and assets in a logical and useful manner according to the production pipeline.
  • Work with 2D art assets using Photoshop to create several promotional images of our products.
  • Experience in the following software’s: 3d Studio Max and After effects
  • Demonstrable knowledge of animation, in 3d and motion graphics
  • Create, from scratch, promotional videos and trailers, with different art styles, using both 2d and 3d assets.
  • To be able to edit any video, including music and sound
  • Work closely with the art director and the rest of the team to develop concepts, prototypes, and production ready content.
  • Create a wide variety of art ranging from environments, characters, props and some visual effects.
  • Timely delivery of assets to the production pipeline within Miniclip.

Experience

  • 5+ years of art creation using tools such as 3D Max, After Effects, Photoshop, or similar.
  • 3+ years of art management experience
  • Experience in UA design
  • Experience managing both internal and outsourced art teams and pipelines.
  • Must understand and have experience in 3D asset creation ranging from modelling, texturing, rendering and animation.
  • The ideal candidate should be a generalist, with experience in design, 2D painting, 3D modelling skills, 2d and 3d animation, video and sound.
  • Able to create art thumbnails and conceptualise ideas quickly.
  • Very pro-active and able to identify and solve problems across multiple platforms and pipelines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with small to large teams in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Candidates with mobile/game experience will be highly considered.
  • Ability to adapt and be effective in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Passion for entertainment and games is a big plus.

Able to effectively and quickly build a team relationship based on trust and respect, with competence and confidence.
