Lead Animator

SUMMARY
Gunzilla Games is looking for a Lead Animator who will be responsible for managing a highly experienced technical animation team and creating an efficient animation pipeline and tools for our original AAA IP.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Lead Animator, you will:
* Mentor, manage and lead the Animation department
* Set the guidelines, standards, and quality bar for technical animation
* Rig and skin characters, creatures, and props
* Implement characters in Unreal Engine 4, including cloth, physics, and blueprint setups
* Work across disciplines, particularly with the Art and Animation teams, to ensure a smooth development pipeline that delivers high-quality assets
* Build custom pipeline tools and work with engine and project leads to the continuous improvement of those tools
REQUIREMENTS
* At least 8 years of experience in technical animation, tools, and pipeline development
* Expert understanding of anatomy and character movement
* Expert knowledge of Maya, specializing in rigging/skinning
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly provide technical feedback for the tasks, rigs, toolsets, and documentation
* Knowledge of current and future technology and trends in video game
