Labor Counsel

We’re looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented and labor law specialist to come join our team as a Labor Counsel, where you’ll liaise with multiple cross-functional partners across the business to help find opportunities and act as a strategic business partner, advising about the labor risks involved in the business practices and proposing alternatives solutions for the fulfillment of all labor obligations. As a Labor Counsel, you will be responsible for supporting our Payroll and HR teams and provide legal opinions to a wide range of matters regarding our people.
What you'll do
- Provide legal opinions in relation to the labor area;
- Provide legal support to the brazilian and foreign companies;
- Intelligent use of litigation information to orient business practices in order to identify litigation root causes and implement mitigation measures to reduce labor risks;
- Support all labor legal decisions concerning the defense of the companies‘ interests;
- Provide information, instructions and comments regarding the application of existing labor legislation;
- Implement innovative strategies that both support the business and are aligned with the organization’s priorities and goals;
- Work closely with HR and Payroll teams;
- Coordinate activities with external law firms;
- Structure, prepare and review managerial reports, and documents;
- Counsel, advise and train on general labor matters within assigned business areas;
What you'll need
- Solid experience of Labor Law experience
- Degree in Law
- Brazilian Bar Membership
- Fluent in English
- Team builder
- Be a business partner and business oriented
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills in both Portuguese and English, along with excellent business judgment and strategic thinking.
- Hardworking, well organized and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
- LLM in Labor Law
- Experience in I.T companies
