Job Overview

Wargaming Sydney is seeking a Junior Technical Artist to join our team for a 4 month paid internship program commencing from 1st March 2020 to 30th June 2020.

Being a Technical Artist at Wargaming Sydney means you will be a highly creative game artist with an ability to problem solve and apply technical considerations to your work. We have to realise the aesthetic experience of the world we want to define for players. We work creatively within the technical limitations of real-time engines and apply techniques to produce high quality work that is as efficient as possible.

Comprehensive game art skills from modelling, texturing, rigging and animation, problem-solving within real-time environments, agile execution, and considered communication are our tools of the trade as we strive to bring new experiences to our audience.

As a Junior Technical Artist intern you will work alongside a talented team in a supportive and fun environment.

This is a full time role, 38 hours per week.

What will you do?

Working with a world class multi-disciplined team; your role will be assisting under guidance from the talented technical art team and in collaboration with all disciplines, to help realise a visually compelling gameplay experience.

You will be hands on and not shy away from getting stuck in, conceiving prototypes, grey boxing and working within an iterative environment to create the highest quality artwork for existing projects.

You will also create documentation for processes and carry out research and development for new techniques as they emerge.

What are we looking for?

If you are passionate about the games industry and have a strong desire to work in a creative, challenging and driven environment, then please apply using the link on this page.

Applications need to be received by 31st January 2020. Interviews for successful candidates will commence from mid February 2020.
