Junior Software Engineer (C++/Python) Internship Program

Job Overview

Wargaming Sydney is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our team for a 4 month paid internship program commencing from 1st March 2022 until 30th June 2022.

You will work alongside talented developers in a supportive and fun environment. This is a good opportunity for a Junior C++ and/or Python Developer who is interested in gaining exposure in the games development industry.

What will you do?

• Working on feature development, improvements and support of backend game technology for AAA games.
• Working with experienced developers from diverse backgrounds as a member of SCRUM team.

What are we looking for?

• 3 or more years of completed Undergraduate study in the following or related disciplines: Computer Science / Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Engineering / Engineering
• Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design
• C/C++ knowledge and/or experience
• Python knowledge and/or experience
• Great communication skills and inquisitiveness
• Ability to work with existing development processes and codebase
• Problem solving skills
• A quick learner & team player
• Keen interest in game development
• Extra points for any experience using game engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal)
• Extra points for any knowledge and/or experience using microservices (e.g. k8s)
