WHAT YOU'LL DO
The junior game data analyst will act as a link between the players’ behavior and the development team, applying their knowledge of analytical technique and technologies to translate player behavior into actionable insights that will assist the development teams’ decision making, supporting the various initiatives being spearheaded by the lead analyst.
- Work closely with the development team and lead analyst to determine telemetry needs of the product and translate these needs into concrete tracking designs
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the data collection systems as well as data-driven product features
- Develop and implement tools, reports and dashboards to provide strategic and operational support for the development team
- Collaborate with stakeholders (community managers, marketing, monetization, production, technical operations) to support decision making and guide the teams’ strategic actions
- Research and develop statistical models to explain past player behaviors and forecast future ones
- Analyze, synthesize and interpret product and player data to determine observations and trends and make forecasts
- Develop action plans, work with teams to implement target recommendations and carry out follow ups
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Experience or coursework in data manipulation (SQL-type queries)
- Experience or coursework in data visualization (Tableau, Excel)
- Experience in statistical programming an asset (Matplotlib, R, Stata, Python)
- Knowledge of data analysis tools, software and systems (e.g. SQL, R, Python, data visualization)
- Ability to work with large-scale databases
- Proactivity, innovation and autonomy
- Structure, strategy and rigor
- Ability to reconcile technical and design perspective
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and to manage concurrent projects
- Passionate about video games a plus
