ABOUT THE JOB
Gunzilla Games is looking for a Junior Environment Artist. You will help us create amazing art and use your artistic vision to breathe life into our world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a Junior Environment Artist, you will:
- Create game-ready assets within the given technical limitations
- Create highpoly and lowpoly models
- Create modular asset sets
- Create efficient UV layouts
- Create photorealistic materials and textures
- Build believable environments within the engine
- Work together with other artists, designers, and various other developers on creating our game world
REQUIREMENTS
- A passion for game development
- An interest for either the more artistic and creative, or, technical and pipeline-related sides of game development
- A strong ability to create believable modular environments within a game engine
- Ability to derive a well-structured lowpoly model from a high poly model, and vice versa
- Understanding of efficient UV layout, PBR pipeline and modular level creation methods
- Knowledge of content creation software such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Photoshop and Zbrush
- A basic understanding of shader functionality
- A passion for games Good English communication and writing skills
- Positive team-oriented attitude Be proactive and self-motivated
