The Junior Accountant provides support in our internal Accounts Department. This role is qualified to post business transactions in various areas and to prepare financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the IFRS.

Responsibilities

Ensure the correct posting of business transactions in the Accounting
Support in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and preparation of independent annual financial statements for individual companies in accordance with the German Commercial Code and the IFRS
Provide support with the monthly Group consolidation and significant participation in compiling the consolidated accounts including the management report
Support the monthly reporting to the shareholders
Resolve any accounting issues and provide concrete solutions

Requirements

First work experience in the field of accounting (e.g. relevant internship)
Basic knowledge of the German Commercial Code, IFRS and consolidation
Good grasp of numbers and strong analytical skills
Good knowledge of software, in particular MS Office and SAP FI/CO
Precise, quick and proactive working methods when under pressure
Dedicated team player with great interpersonal skills
Fluent in written and spoken German, English is a plus
