What we do:
We're looking for an Intermediate Software Engineer to join up with the development team that designs, builds, runs, and evolves our in-game social, progression, rewards, and monetization services platforms for the Call of Duty franchise and other popular Activision titles. You will work closely with title project teams at Demonware and the studios to make sure they have the features they need for their upcoming games. We chart a long-term vision for these products to provide the capabilities that enable Activision's game studios to focus on building the best games in the world.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop new services by collaborating with peers for requirements gathering, design, review, and deployment.
• Work with the team to maintain the services you develop.

• Work as a partner to game studios, designing online and multiplayer experiences.
• Work with game studio engineers to troubleshoot problems with online and multiplayer features.

Your Profile:

• Some experience with Python or C++ coding, or skills in a similar language
• Some experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, security and scalability
• Experience with distributed systems and web technologies

Nice to have:

• Experience with multi-platform development, including PC, Xbox One, and PS4
• Experience with game development
