About the role
As an Instructional Designer at Strivr, you will be responsible for the ideation, design, and development of immersive curricula for our growing list of enterprise customers. Your tasks will include identifying knowledge and performance gaps, writing measurable learning objectives, designing evaluation strategies, creating outlines and scripts, and developing immersive experiences. You will collaborate cross-functionally with all the teams that fuel the success of the Strivr platform, including project management, product development, data science, customer success, and creative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Apply adult learning theory, the ADDIE model, backward design, and Immersive Learning principles to create all aspects of immersive training programs
- Analyze, design, and develop immersive training solutions for a spectrum of Strivr customers using proprietary authoring tools
- Partner with internal project team stakeholders to structure implementation and evaluation strategy for Strivr’s immersive curricula
- Work with customer subject matter experts to create engaging training experiences that prove ROI
- Provide instructional design feedback and feature improvements for Strivr's Immersive Learning platform and processes
Requirements
Required Traits, Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Instructional Design, Learning and Development and/or Training Development (within an e-learning / EdTech / comparable environment)
- Any post-graduate/undergraduate degree, preferably Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Educational Technology, or similar
- Demonstrated expertise in the effective application of instructional design principles and methods (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom’s, Mayer’s, Kirkpatrick’s, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to think critically, analyze data and information, and solve complex problems in creative ways
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities and projects with a focus on results
- Willingness and ability to adapt to a continually evolving, fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, SMEs, and creatives on all aspects of a training project
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write effective instructional text and audio/video scripts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with in-house authoring tools and submitting product improvements and feedback
- Experience working in highly collaborative teams to execute projects from kickoff through launch and beyond
- Experience designing evaluation strategies that capture accurate training data and yield compelling data stories
- Passionate about the freedom that new technology brings to communication and training
- Additional years of experience working in instructional design applying instructional design theory, learning theory principles, and applications of media to instructional scenarios
- Content creation experience in a virtual reality environment
- Portfolio of work and/or writing samples are encouraged
Benefits
The annual compensation range for this position is $67,200-$100,800. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
Benefits offered for this position include 90% employer-paid healthcare for employee and dependents (medical, dental, vision); 401K with 50% employer match (up to 4%); open PTO policy; 16-week parental leave; basic life insurance, AD&D, and short-term disability.
