Summary
Aristocrat’s Iron Pixel Studio division develops market leading social casino games for a variety of mobile and web platforms with a team of extremely high caliber professionals from a wide range of backgrounds. As an Art Manager, you will sit in our Poland studio as part of our ever growing Iron Pixel Studio division based in Austin TX. You will be responsible for managing the creative teams while providing the strategic vision and guidance for the art direction across multiple games in development. This is a hands-on position where you will develop and oversee high quality, class leading content for social and mobile casino gaming.What you'll do
- Read and translate the studio and larger business strategy into team strategy, supporting Art Leads to execute it.
- Manages a broad sub-functional area through mostly managing other Art Leads.
- Review final art packages for quality and continuity with the relevant stakeholders and game design vision.
- Actively work to integrate with other Development Studios related to your projects: IPS Austin/NMG Vegas/IPS India.
- Responsible for supporting your team members in their personal development and career progression.
- Sets the benchmark to evaluate candidates for your team and constantly bring the right candidates into the pipeline.
- Decide on the allocation of resources and anticipate changing requirements that may impact delivery before they happen.
- Partner with senior leaders to develop policies & procedures that impact the studio or business unit.
- Guide Art Leads in their coaching & development processes for their direct reports.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years’ experience as an Art Production or Art Outsource Manager/ 8+ years Professional Job Experience.
- Knowledge of game production technical constraints, optimization, and implementation.
- Passion for games development and strong game culture.
- Must be highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of illustration and animation abilities and techniques with an ability to give constructive feedback and art critique related to project development.
- Experience with Photoshop, 3D programs, and other game authoring tools.
- Proven leadership around team member development, coaching, succession planning and living a “people first” culture in a multidisciplinary, multi-regional, multicultural, environment.
- Experience planning, coordinating and communicating with external studios across various geographic locations.
- Ability to partner, educate and communicate complex strategies, technologies and solutions to peers, customers, and senior leadership through writing and presentations as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art/Animation or related field preferred.
