IT Technician

As the IT Technician, you’ll be working together with the head of IT to manage and improve the information technology framework that supports our staff. You’ll collaborate with the head of IT on how to best help the studio to succeed through an efficient IT infrastructure. Initially you’ll focus on helpdesk activities, but we encourage the development of more advanced skills beyond this.
Duties and Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for all end-user hardware and software including, but not limited to, creating and maintaining OS images for workstations, software installation and support, networking support, workstation repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and testing.
- Answer and follow-up on technical support calls, emails, and requests from staff and clients.
- Maintain and update inventory tracking systems for all hardware and software assets.
- Other miscellaneous technical and administrative tasks related to the management of the IT department.
- Assist with the purchasing and procurement of IT equipment and software.
Requirements
- Strong PC hardware knowledge including setup and troubleshooting.
- Windows and Mac OS setup and troubleshooting, Microsoft Office applications.
- Networking knowledge including: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, simple routers, and firewalls.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work well with little supervision.
- Developed soft skills to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
- The ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
- Proficiency in English (B2-C1) [Essential Requirement]
- Work on-site in Bogotá
- Experience with standard game industry software including Autodesk 3DS Max, Maya, Unreal engine, Unity, etc.
- Experience with Linux, specifically enterprise distributions.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services.
