IT Service Specialist

Please note that this is a 6-month contract position.

The Challenge Ahead:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Site IT, the IT Service specialist will provide second line support for all staff based at Guildford and remote support for several EA offices. You will resolve support requests while meeting customer satisfaction targets. IT Support staff work in a dynamic environment, which provides services over the phone, through e-mail, in person and through self-service.

What an IT Support Specialist does at EA:

• Resolve software and hardware incidents, Windows and MacOS running a range of software applications.
• Assist any user with any reported IT incident.
• Perform problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes to restore service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
• Record, update and document requests using the IT Service desk system.
• Install and configure new IT equipment.
• Maintain effective communication with all colleagues in the organization.
• Publish relevant support documentation to aide in the quick resolution of future incidents and allow users to become self-sufficient.

The next great EA IT Support Specialist also needs:

Qualifications:

• Good general level of education – A-levels or equivalent with GCSE grades A-C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
• Relevant vocational qualifications: MCP, MCSE, ITIL or similar – desirable.

Experience:

• Experience working in an IT Support role
• Experience in IT Support in a related industry (Entertainment/Gaming) – desirable.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 8/10 and MacOS and software packages including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of relevant technologies such as JAMF PRO, SCCM, MDT, WSUS – desirable.
• Understand networking technology and principles – desirable.
