Job Description
The BIgData Platform team is responsible for the development and support of the analytics platform and tools with collaboration from our production partners that are running 24/7. We are a worldwide team that is divers and passionate about data.
As the IT Product Manager of the BigData Platform team, you will ensure the product features of our Big Data/Analytics platform are aligned with Ubisoft’s vision, implemented and delivered with high quality. You will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with various teams such as Enterprise Data (ED), DNA, Technical Architecture and Infrastructure Services teams, to ensure internal clients goals are met. You will also act as the marketing lead for the department, managing the communication strategy, the way the website is distributed, the internal social network, etc. Finally, you will help the CIO office with different projects to continuously improve and evolve the platform.
Mission
Your main responsibilities are to:
- Define and maintain the product strategy and roadmap;
- Coordinate with various business and technical groups for the product integration;
- Collaborate closely with local and international development teams to achieve delivery of the product;
- Gather information such as requirements, feedback, bugs to be fixed, etc. from clients and other stakeholder and prioritize them into the future releases of the products;
- Set a long-term vision and strategy of the products and communicate this to all relevant participants and stakeholders;
- Manage the communities who use the products by creating close relationships with them and provide tailored assistance to each client (frequency of communication, adaptation based on the context and product, etc.);
- Manage and implement marketing activities through research, strategic planning and implementation.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience in multi-product management;
- Experience working in a Big Data environment.
Education
- University degree in administration or other relevant experience;
- Training in project management an asset.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of data integration storage with large data sets;
- Knowledge on open source tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Nifi, Kafka, ElasticSearch, etc;
- Knowledge on cloud and on-premise infrastructures;
- Strong management skills with a leadership mindset;
- Working with international remote teams;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills;
- Strong sense of initiative with an innovative and creative mindset.
