Overview:

The IT Help Desk Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing technical support and project management to employees within Ghostpunch Games. The role will encompass project management, troubleshooting, maintaining, and implementing a variety of IT systems and services. Collaborative work with other departments and keen attention to current industry technologies, specifically in gaming, will be crucial.

Software Knowledge:

Operating Systems: Windows, Windows Server, Linux

Game Development Environments: Unity, Unreal Engine

Office Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace

Collaboration Tools: Slack, Discord

Ticketing Systems: JIRA Service Desk

Virtualization Technologies: Hyper-V, QEMU

Technical Skills:

Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and fix hardware and software issues.

Networking: Understanding of LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and network protocols.

Security: Familiarity with antivirus software, malware removal, and security protocols.

Hardware Support: Ability to support and maintain PCs, laptops and other hardware peripherals.

Database Management: Basic understanding of SQL or other database management systems.

Scripting: Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.

Education and Training:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or other industry-standard certifications.

Ongoing Training: Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends, especially in gaming technology.

Gaming Industry Experience: Prior experience in the gaming industry is a significant plus.

Project Management: Experience with managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously and experience organizing the process

Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various departments within the studio.

Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Adaptability: Capacity to adapt to the ever-changing needs of a dynamic game development studio.

Problem-solving Abilities: A critical thinker with the ability to solve complex problems efficiently.
