The Nitty Gritty
We’re currently looking for a highly motivated IT Administrator to join the team! Working closely with our People & Culture team, as well as other internal departments here at BVG, you’ll strive to deliver efficiently on company-wide IT requirements. When we bring on new hires, you’ll make sure they have all necessary equipment and have access to internal systems. This role is offered 100% remotely.
The Duties:
- Be responsible for the procurement of IT equipment, software licences, and other resources for internal employees and new hires
- Setup all hardware and software system requirements
- Own and maintain all of our G Suite applications/documents, Slack, JIRA, Confluence, and other internal BVG systems
- Setup and maintain our Active Directory and SVN
- Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot any issues with our corporate VPN
- Continuously monitor and back up our key internal data/documents
- Collect data and reporting relating to IT requirements, inventory, and systems
- Do research on Innovations/Tools that BVG could acquire to make processes more efficient and automated, while being cost-conscious
The Requirements:
The Must Haves
- Completed post-secondary education in a relevant program/field
- 2+ years of It Administration experience or equivalent
- Experience providing support in a mixed Windows and Mac OS environment
- Proficiency with computer hardware, software, networking, and peripherals (eg. laptops, desktops, servers, monitors, network systems, etc)
- Experience with Active Directory, Slack, G Suite, MS Office, Confluence, JIRA
- Ability to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users
- Experience working with ticketing systems
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Keen attention to detail and excellent time management skills
